FastLabel Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Takeshi Suzuki; hereinafter “FastLabel”), a company that supports the development of robot foundation models and domain-specific VLA (Vision-Language-Action) models, has begun supporting the launch of “AI Data Factory,” a large-scale data production factory of MW Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shuzo Narita; hereinafter “MW”). By combining architecture, AI, and robotics, MW is developing “Living Home,” a future “housing product” that perceives, makes decisions, and acts autonomously on its own.MW has been selected for the national project “Research and Development Project of the Enhanced Infrastructures for Post-5G Information and Communication Systems / Research and Development of Robot Foundation Models (GENIAC*) (Subsidy) (Including Multi-Purpose Robots),” implemented by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). Under this project, MW is developing “MW bot,” a semi-humanoid robot that is integrated into living spaces and handles household chores as the core of “Living Home,” along with a robot foundation model specialized for Japanese residential environments. FastLabel will support the launch of “AI Data Factory,” which will serve as the base for this data collection and production. At “AI Data Factory,” dozens of booths will be set up to recreate household tasks such as laundry, washroom cleaning, tidying the entrance, bed-making, and kitchen cleanup, and household activity data will be collected using wearable direct teaching technology. Through this effort, FastLabel will help MW reach its data collection target of 50,000 hours per year, or 150,000 hours in total over three years. FastLabel will also contribute to improving the autonomy of “MW bot” and, ultimately, of “Living Home,” the intelligent home that MW aims to create.*“GENIAC (Generative AI Accelerator Challenge)” is a project implemented by METI and NEDO to strengthen Japan's generative AI development capabilities and promote its practical implementation in society. About FastLabelFastLabel Inc. develops data infrastructure to support data-centric AI development, providing end-to-end support from data collection and generation to annotation, model development, and DataOps implementation. In recent years, the company has expanded its focus to the physical AI domain, including robotics, advancing the development of data pipelines that support both robot foundation model and VLA model development.Company Name: FastLabel Inc.Location: Shinjuku Sumitomo Building 24F, 2-6-1 Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, TokyoRepresentative: CEO Takeshi SuzukiBusiness Description: Providing professional services and products that support data-centric AI developmentURL: https://fastlabel.ai/service/robotics Media Inquiries Regarding This Press ReleaseCorporate Division, FastLabel Inc.pr@fastlabel.ai
