FastLabel Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Takeshi Suzuki; hereinafter “FastLabel”), a company that supports the development of robot base models and domain-specific VLA models, has entered into a business partnership agreement with ugo Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Ken Matsui; hereinafter “ugo”) to collaborate on research and development, system integration, and sales activities in their respective AI robotics businesses.【Background of the Collaboration】Amid growing challenges such as declining birthrates, aging population, and labor shortages, industries including manufacturing, construction, logistics, and services are increasingly placing high expectations on next-generation robotics technologies powered by AI. To address these challenges, there is a growing demand for flexible systems in which humans and robots can collaborate and adapt to diverse on-site environments.Realizing such systems requires not only flexible robot hardware but also advanced AI learning capabilities supported by large volumes of high-quality data.FastLabel has established a strong track record in high-precision data collection and annotation for AI development, with particular expertise in building data pipelines for generative AI and autonomous driving domains. Meanwhile, ugo provides the technological foundation for human-robot collaboration through the development of advanced robot platforms. Through this collaboration, the two companies will combine their respective strengths to establish a comprehensive support framework covering everything from conceptual planning for robot deployment to the collection and generation of imitation learning data and robot motion verification. By further strengthening their partnership, the companies aim to help address societal challenges faced by industry—such as improving operational efficiency and addressing labor shortages— through the advancement of AI robotics technologies thereby creating new value.【Collaboration Details】Through this collaboration, the two companies will deepen their cooperation in research and development, sales activities, and system integration within their respective AI robotics businesses, with the aim of providing enhanced support to customers.<Research and Development>As part of the collaboration, ugo will provide its robots to FastLabel for use in research and development activities including the development of AI robot models within FastLabel. These efforts will involve the collection and generation of data for imitation learning. The data collected and generated through these initiatives will be provided by FastLabel to customers and ugo.<System Integration>The two companies will jointly explore future system integration between FastLabel's AI data platform “FastLabel Data Factory” and ugo's robot integrated management platform, “ugo Platform,” as well as business development opportunities leveraging such integration.<Sales Activities>FastLabel will provide ugo's robots to customers advancing robotics AI development, while ugo will offer FastLabel's solutions to customers seeking robotic technologies. The two companies will also engage in mutual customer referrals to support the expansion of AI robot initiatives.【About FastLabel】Location: 24F, Shinjuku Sumitomo Building, 2-6-1 Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo Established: January 23, 2020 Representative: CEO Takeshi Suzuki Business Description: Providing professional services and products that support data-centric AI development URL: https://fastlabel.ai/【About ugo】Location: 1-7-8 Higashi-Kanda, Chiyoda-ku, TokyoEstablished: 2018Representative: Ken MatsuiBusiness Description: Provision and operation of ugo solutions; development, provision, and operation of RaaS frameworksURL: https://ugo.plus/
